Frequently asked questions

Straight answers for venue owners. If yours isn't here, ask us and we'll usually reply the same day.

What does it cost?

Four plans, all with a 14 day free trial: Starter $9, Studio $25, Creator $75 and Creator Pro $149, all USD per month. Creator covers up to 75 booked seats per Shopify billing cycle and one Creator product; Creator Pro has unlimited booked seats and unlimited Creator products. Annual billing saves 20%. Founding members keep the founder offer of 50% off the monthly price, billed annually, while their eligible annual subscription remains active.

Does bocky replace my checkout?

No, and that's deliberate. bocky attaches bookings and creations to real Shopify products. Shopify remains the payment authority, so your discounts, tax, payment methods and customer history keep working exactly as they do now.

Is this new software?

The listing is new. The software isn't. bocky spent 7 years in private testing inside a working masterclass venue, 35,000 guests through its doors, and it still runs every class there today. Now it's live and configurable for your venue. You're early to the listing, not the software.

How do bookings work?

You connect a class or experience to a real product, set your schedule, capacity and booking questions, and place the booking calendar on that product's page. Guests pick a session and pay through your normal checkout. Every booking lands in your admin with the order, the attendee details and the seats remaining.

Can guests change their own bookings?

Yes, within rules you set. Logged-in guests can fix details themselves before your cutoff, and can request cancellations or moves that your staff approve. Refunds always stay a human decision on your side.

What is the Creator?

The Creator guides your guests as they build their own product, like a perfume, a wine blend or a coffee blend, from your ingredient library, with a live profile that shifts as they choose. The recipe they invent is saved to their name, and you see it in your admin beside the order.

Where do the ingredient lists come from?

You control the library. Import your real ingredients by CSV, with images, flavour profiles and stock levels, or start from the pre-built libraries on bocky.co for coffee, wine, perfume, candles, tea and distilling. Stock is tracked, and out-of-stock components can hide automatically.

How do vouchers work?

A bocky voucher is customised and linked to a single product, like your blending class. The buyer sends it to someone, the recipient redeems it at checkout with a code, backed by a native discount code. Vouchers are one use. They are not stored-value gift cards, so there is no leftover balance to babysit.

Do founding members get a say in what comes next?

Yes. The first 100 venues get direct access to the developer. Tell us what happens on your calendar, in your room and at checkout, and we use that feedback as bocky grows.

We aren't a winery, coffee roastery, perfumery, candle studio or tea house. Does Creator still fit?

Yes, if guests build a product from ingredients or materials. Creator can change the language around your class, so beans, botanicals, fragrance notes, tea leaves or candle materials all sit in a library with rules you set. Guests see the flavour or aroma profile change as they build.

Do I need a particular theme?

Any Online Store 2.0 theme works. The booking calendar and voucher blocks are theme app blocks you place on the product templates you choose, so your theme stays yours.
