Vouchers

Product-specific experience vouchers, set up in minutes. A bocky voucher is one use and tied to the experience you choose. It is not a stored-value gift card, so there is no leftover balance. The video shows the full setup; the steps are written out below it.

Set up the voucher

1. In bocky, click Add another way to sell and choose Vouchers.
2. Choose how vouchers reach people: sell them through Shopify like any product, or issue them manually from the register for phone orders and walk-ins.
3. Selling online needs a sale product using the separate voucher template (see Getting Started). Two checks before you continue: do not create it as a native Shopify gift card, and keep Shopify’s buy buttons on the voucher product template alongside bocky’s Voucher Purchase Details block.
4. Step 3, Redemption. Point the voucher at the experience it can be redeemed for. The value follows the eligible experience price, verified with Shopify; undersells are blocked unless you choose to allow them.
5. Step 4, Delivery. Recipient name and email are on, with a personal message and an optional send date. No expiry by default.
6. The heading and introduction are yours to edit. Basic terms are written for you; review them for your local regulations. Discount stacking stays off by default.
7. The readiness check runs through the whole setup: targets healthy, variants valid, delivery ready.

Wire the storefront

1. Open the theme editor on the voucher product template. Vouchers follow the opposite rule to bookings: keep Shopify’s buy buttons and add the Voucher Purchase Details block beside them.
2. The block collects recipient name, email, a personal message, and a send date for later delivery. Restyle it, reorder it, and save; buttons, colours and layout stay your theme’s.
3. Back in bocky, tick to confirm the blocks are saved, then activate Vouchers.

Test it

1. Open the voucher product page as a shopper. It now asks who the gift is for: a name, an email, and a personal message.
2. Pick a send date and bocky queues delivery in the store’s timezone.
3. One voucher is issued for each purchased unit, at the full experience value. Buy three, gift three. The recipient redeems at checkout with a code, backed by a native discount code, one use.
